AdGuard VPN

Overview

AdGuard VPN is a consumer VPN from AdGuard Software Limited, identified in its privacy policy as a company registered in Limassol, Cyprus. It is separate from AdGuard’s ad-blocking products: the reviewed pages describe VPN applications, subscriptions, and a proprietary VPN protocol rather than treating ad filtering alone as a VPN.

Official pages offer Windows, macOS, mobile, television, Linux, router, and browser options, with functionality varying between platforms. The provider promotes website and application exclusions and DNS choices. A browser extension should not automatically be assumed to protect the same traffic as a full-device VPN application.

The free tier advertises 3 GB of traffic monthly and two simultaneous connections. Paid subscriptions remove the traffic limit and allow up to ten devices. The site describes monthly, annual, and two-year billing, but dynamically rendered amounts were not sufficiently clear in the captured text to quote a current subscription or renewal price.

The subscription FAQ limits its thirty-day money-back guarantee to annual and two-year plans and says monthly subscriptions are non-refundable. Its privacy policy explains collecting account traffic-byte totals, stored for 90 days and not associated with locations, and active-connection counts to enforce limits. Those operational records should be considered alongside privacy marketing; this research did not independently audit the implementation or conduct speed, streaming, or leak tests.
