Mozilla VPN

Service overview

Mozilla VPN is a paid consumer VPN offered by Mozilla Corporation in partnership with Mullvad. The original vpn.mozilla.org address redirects to the Mozilla product page. The service has downloadable applications for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS; it is not simply the Firefox browser’s private-browsing mode. The legal terms identify California law for the contract.

The fetched page showed a monthly subscription at €9.99 and an annual subscription at €59.88, expressed as €4.99 per month. These are euro prices observed during this research, not universal pricing. One subscription covers up to five devices. A 30-day money-back guarantee is advertised for first-time customers, and no permanently free service tier was verified.

Mozilla describes WireGuard, multi-hop routing, custom DNS support and application exclusions, with feature availability depending on platform. A Firefox extension adds website-specific settings on Windows rather than replacing the underlying VPN application. The features page links a Cure53 security review and states that the code is open source. This profile records those disclosures without claiming that an audit guarantees security or that the network has been independently tested here.

This is a source-based service overview, not a hands-on review. No speed, streaming, leak or security tests were performed. Availability and commercial terms can vary by location, platform and payment channel; confirm the final order and applicable legal terms before subscribing.

Mozilla’s subscription privacy notice says sign-up and service IP addresses are retained in its server logs for 90 days, and describes account/device information and optional interaction or diagnostic collection. This is distinct from its statement that neither Mozilla nor Mullvad logs VPN network activity.
