Do not give WiTopia any of your financial information. Protect yourself and file a complaint.
I bought the Witopia one year subscription. Downloaded and installed. The client would not open. Looking at the online support was confusing
and a lot of the information was not written for someone with limited knowledge. Requesting a ticket number for help was not for me.
I checked my bank and my credit card has not been charged. I sent a New cancellation request at 3: 25 AM on September 26, 2012. I received an email from Shirin at 8:49 AM on September 26, 2012. “Hi James-
A refund is no issue at all—“. I uninstalled and deleted the program. I was not worried because of the email from Shirin and did not check with my bank until October 1. WiTopia had charged my credit card. I made many requests for a refund and just got the runaround from Jamie, David and Marc. My credit card was charged after WiTopia received my New cancellation request. This was clearly a unauthorized use of my credit card and fraud.

What is not credit card theft/fraud?
Examples: If you give someone your credit card and they charge more than you authorized, this may not be a
crime. Many credit card user agreements explain that when you authorize someone to use your card, they become an “authorized user.”
If you inadvertently enter into an agreement with a company and they charge your credit card monthly, you have a civil matter with that company.
No crime has been committed if you failed to read the small print.
