About Avast SecureLine

Provider information: Avast says Windows product-page downloads now install the VPN module in Avast One; a standalone SecureLine download remains available.

Avast SecureLine VPN is described in Avast's support FAQ as a connection through Avast servers using an encrypted tunnel. The documentation covers manual server selection, automatic connection rules, and a kill switch. Smart VPN rules are documented for supported Windows and Mac versions, rather than as a universal mobile feature.

The same FAQ says Avast is consolidating its Windows products into Avast One, with VPN running as a module. SecureLine product pages now supply that installer with the VPN module activated. Avast says existing SecureLine subscriptions and activation details carry over, while users can still download the standalone app separately. This Windows installation change does not mean every SecureLine platform has been replaced.
