About HideMyAss!
HideMyAss! uses the HMA name on its current website. The provider describes a global VPN network for browsing, gaming and downloads, and says its servers are optimized for streaming and P2P traffic. It lists Windows, macOS, iOS and Android installations, with connection limits that depend on the selected plan.
HMA's advertised controls include split tunneling, a kill switch and settings for automatic connections. The site also claims protection against IPv4, IPv6 and DNS leaks and describes its DNS service as no-log. These are provider descriptions rather than results from fresh testing. Its own FAQ acknowledges that a VPN connection can slow down when traffic travels through a distant server.

Review from Fran on HideMyAss!
Most of the IPs don't work. Beware of HideMyAss, they deny keeping logs, but the Lulz prosecution shows they must keep them. They deny using logs to help catch Lulz, but their explanation is nonsense. Beware.

I used it during one year. It was really nice and fast in 2010, then quality decreased slowly, maybe because they have too many customers ? Recently (autumn 2011), I could connect to less and less servers so I decided to try…
